What do we do?
HonorBound is more than a breakfast or a fellowship dinner,
though these things are important.
I Timothy 5:3 says "Give proper recognition to those widows who
are in need." Our men mobile and ready at a minutes notice to
help someone in need. Many have special giftings that enable
them to help those who can't help themselves.
Men's Choir: Fathers day 2001 we were able to put together a
men's mass choir with over 40 men. We hope to make it an annual
event to worship the Lord.
Missions Trips: This is another great way for men to put their
talents to good use and show servant hood. We have taken many
missions trips in the past and look forward to taking this
life changing event each year.
Golf Tournaments: Whether you are an expert
golfer or just a novice this is a great way to meet other men
with some good healthy competition and at the same time raise
money for a noble cause.
Other Activities: We take canoe trips and deep sea fishing
outings and many other activities throughout the year that
involve men and their families
Light For the Lost: This is a program developed by the
assemblies of God to put literature in the hands of missionaries
to help spread the gospel around the world. Every year we pledge
money to give to the cause. Along with our pledges are
fund-raisers which include selling camp stew, golf tournaments
and other events.
We invite you to come and be a part of what God
is doing in the men of First Assembly. Men have specific needs
that must be met within a male context. HonorBound is targeting
the spiritual growth in men, challenging them to recognize God's
call on their lives and be godly men. As Jesus declares in John
5:23 to honor Him is to honor our Father in Heaven.
